Coronavirus/COVID-19: This is how you apply for compensation as a small business owner or a sole trader

We have made a guide for your here, if you want to apply for compensation as a small business owner, or a sole trader, as a result of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis.


This compensation package is relevant for:

1: Sole traders (“Enkeltmandsvirksomheder”)

2: If you own more than 25% of a LTD (IVS, ApS, A/S) – and you work in the company


The company needs to meet the following requirements in order for you to apply:

The company needs to have an average turnover of minimum 10.000 DKK per month.
The company expects to lose a minimum of 30% of the sales in the period 9.3.2020 – 8.6.2020.
The loss of sales is a direct result of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis and not your own fault.
The company does not have more than 10 fulltime employees on 9.3.2020.

Then login into the application:

Step 1:

You will now see the company information, that is related to your NemID.

Choose if you have a coworking spouse (“medarbejdende ægtefælle”) – this is only relevant for sole traders.

Then click “Jeg accepterer ovenstående betingelser” – and “Næste”

Step 2:

Write the type of sales you have – then click “Næste”:

Translation:
Kun momspligtig omsætning = Only sales with VAT
Kun ikke-momspligtig omsætning = Only sales exempt from VAT
Både momspligtig og ikke-momspligtig omsætning = Both sales with VAT – and sales exempt from VAT

Step 3:

Now you will need the sales for 2019.

Your sales is shown on a PnL statement from your accounting.

You need to attach documentation for the sales (f.ex. the PnL or annual report for 2019) – then click “Næste”:

Step 4:

Then you need to enter the sales from the reference period 1.4.2019 – 30.6.2019.

If there is any special circumstances, then you can change the reference period.

You need to attach documentation for the sales (f.ex. the PnL for Q2 2019) – then click “Næste”:

Step 5:

The expected sales for the period 9.3.2020 – 8.6.2020 is written (it has to be an estimate naturally) – then click “Næste”:

Step 6:

Now you can see the calculated compensation – then click “Næste”:

Step 7:

Enter your contact details and click “Næste”:

Step 8:

Here you give your affidavit, stating that all the information provided by you is true – click the box – and then click “Næste”:

Step 9:

You now see a summary, of the information you have provided.

Then you need to write, how many fulltime employees you have – 1 fulltime employee equals 1924 hours per year (37 hours per week).

If you have parttime employees, then you need to calculate the equivalent to fulltime employees.

Step 10:

Click “Jeg bekræfter ovenstående” (if you agree on the information submitted) – then click “Send”:

Now you will receive a confirmation:
